Five people, five picks, nothing watched: Wecide Movies turns "you pick" into "that one"
Free Android app lets a group swipe the same deck of films on their own phones. A film becomes the match only when everyone says yes.
EL SALVADOR, October 2026. Every group knows the loop: "You pick." "No, you pick." Then comes the scrolling, the trailers and the one friend who has already seen everything, and the evening ends with nothing playing. Wecide Movies, a free Android app, replaces that argument with a short round of swiping.
One person creates a room for up to 8 people and shares a 4-digit code. Friends join with just a name, in the same living room or in different cities. The host picks the kind of night, and everyone swipes the same deck on their own phone: right to like, left to pass, up for one Super Like per round. A film becomes a match only when everyone liked it, so nobody gets outvoted by the loudest person on the couch. The deck can be films, TV shows or both, and the summary at the end shows near misses and who blocked what.
Wecide is built to ask for nothing. It is free, it has no ads, and there is no account, email or password. Rooms and the votes in them are deleted automatically about a day after the room is created, and the app is meant for people aged 13 and over.
"Current apps only ask for money and data. We wanted to solve a need people really have: getting a group to agree on one film without an argument. So Wecide is free, shows no ads and does not ask who you are."Carolina Campos, Wecide
